So a lot of people have been asking me how our event went, struggling to find an answer that justifies the event, I decided to answer in a blog.
8 months ago we took a chance, we decided to dream, dream bigger than before. We didn't quite grasp how big we could actually dream. In 8 months God chose 8 hearts to bestow a dream upon, a dream for all his beautiful daughters. There in lies so much wonder, God dreaming about us. Our brokenness so moved His heart that He devised a plan. This plan was to be called Women Of Worth
What did we think we were going to do?
We thought we would be a group of women, who know our worth, showing other ladies what God thought of them. We expected to host a "get together" for 70 ladies. We expected to work hard, because we didn't have any frame of reference or support structure. We expected to encounter a few problems. We expected God to show up and lead us.
Reality!
This was God's conference and He lead EVERYTHING! We knew nothing and soon discovered that it took 8 months for God to get our WORTH to stick. We discovered our ends and the beauty of being weak, knowing that God is strong. We learned that we dream waaaaayyyy to safe, God planned a conference for 300 while we were thinking of 70. We learned about the importance of prayer, we soon discovered that our prayer was the only weapon for the game we found ourselves in. We discovered a community of believers devoted to God and willing to help. We discovered hope in it's rawest form, faith was what we clung to and God never disappointed. God is meticulous in his details, we would daily stand amazed at the way he provided ( Finances, volunteers, resources etc.) I can honestly say that this was the best experience of my life, working with God leaves your new, improved and breathless.
What's next?
We are exited to report that we are not done yet! As long as He leads we will follow. Stay tuned to see where this road takes us.
